The Ebby Halliday Frisco 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the luxurious Stonebriar Country Club, all in an effort to raise money for City House and help homeless youth.
It was a marvelous day of golf, as the weather cooperated with a sun-filled sky and mild temperatures. Each golfer received 18 holes on the exclusive Fazio course, a deluxe “goodie bag”, an exclusive gourmet lunch and dinner, and entrance to both the Award Party & Silent Auction.
The event raised an impressive $46,672.10 for City House, a three-fold increase over last year’s amount raised for charity!
“What a fabulous event that was hosted by Ebby Halliday Frisco,” said City House Executive Director Teresa Keenan. “The golf was great and the Awards Dinner and Silent Auction was a lot of fun. We’d like to thank everyone at Ebby Halliday Frisco, especially Katie Gallivan for all her hard work in overseeing the efforts of the tournament. And Terri Macaluso for her dedication to quality and organization.”
About City House:
For over 25 years, City House has been providing emergency shelter and transitional residential services to children and young adults of Collin County who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness. Homeless youth is a reality facing every community in our country, and we in Frisco need to respond to this growing problem. Our plan to expand into Frisco, opening two transitional living homes, one for boys and one for girls, ages 18 to 22, is currently underway. The housing program, which originally began in Plano in 2006, will provide shelter, along with counseling, mentoring and case management for the youth of Frisco.
