The Olive Garden at 75 and Plano Parkway sent lunch to City House’s administrative offices last week as a thank you for the work City House does in Collin County.
“We’re here to help out our neighbors as much as we can,” Olive Garden Manager Cory Rivers said. “It’s what we do; what Olive Garden is all about. We’re part of the community and we want to stay involved, especially for good causes.”
Cory said that Olive Garden delivers a complimentary lunch for organizations, charities and non-profits that make a difference in the Collin County community.
“We serve a lot of lunches and many other things too,” he said. “It depends on what is going on and what month it is. We give gift card donations and our ‘Pasta for Pennies’ program benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We enjoy it and feel it is the least we can do.”
“Lunch was great,” City House Executive Director Teresa Keenan said. “Our staff really appreciated the gesture and it reinforces how wonderful our community is. We all appreciate Olive Garden’s generosity and thoughtfulness.”
