Neiman Marcus partners with The Shops at Willow Bend to honor women that are nominated by each of the preselected charities from Willow Bend Gives Back that have gone above and beyond to serve their charity. These “Top Women of Collin County” will be recognized throughout the month of August by special events hosted by Neiman Marcus and a private Fall Fashion Show. The Shops at Willow Bend will announce the top three charities that collected the most points during the month of August from Willow Bend Gives Back at the Fall Fashion Show.
City House is proud and honored to be represented by Shelly McDaniel, who is a longtime volunteer for City House and many fantastic organizations in Collin County.
“I volunteer my time at City House to make the difference in the life of a child,” McDaniel said. “My passion is children and by volunteering my time at City House, I get to be part of making a child’s life better and for making my community of Collin County and even better place to live.”
Shelly has been a dedicated volunteer and advocate for City House for over six years. We are very grateful to her for sharing her time, skills and organization with our agency as an “Admin Ace.” As a CPA, Shelly’s accounting skills have been invaluable to us. She developed and maintains a recording system that tracks donations of gift cards and how they are used by each of our programs. This tracking system aids City House with audits and grants, as well as other financial areas.
Every time Shelly comes in the office to volunteer, her cheerful disposition and passion brighten everyone’s day. She is truly a treasure to our organization!
Shelly’s enthusiasm for giving back to the community continues on in her children and together they have been involved in their schools, their church, and in other service organizations, such as, National Charity League and Young Men’s Service League. City House is proud to honor Shelly McDaniel for all her ongoing efforts to make Collin County a better place to live!
