City House has been chosen as Stonebriar Country Club’s local charity of choice for their 8th Annual Charity Classic. The golf tournament will be held at the Club in Frisco on Friday, November 7.
The Charity Classic is a company-wide (ClubCorp) initiative that allows each club to contribute back to the community. Each club’s net proceeds raised during the charity classic will be split three ways between ALS Therapy Development (Augie’s Quest), the Employee Partners Care Foundation (EPCF) and the Club’s 2014 local charity, City House-Frisco.
Co-Chair of Development for City House-Frisco Ann Harris said she is thrilled to have City House-Frisco nominated and ultimately chosen as Stonebriar Country Club’s local charity.
“City House-Frisco is really making a difference in young teens’ lives here in town,” she said. “We opened a Youth Resource Center in March, a home in September for young ladies ages 18-21 and hopefully, we will be financially able to do the same for young men next year. The proceeds from the Charity Classic will certainly assist in those efforts. Frisco is not immune to abused, neglected and homeless kids, and we need to commit to an ‘All In” attitude. The success of City House-Frisco relies heavily on community support, and to date, we have established many generous and sustainable relationships. Our cause has been greeted with warmth, and for that, I am so appreciative.”
