Frisco’s Newest Yoga Studio Gives Back to the Community
Yoga4Yu is Frisco’s newest home for healthy living, offering a variety of yoga classes in a boutique studio environment complete with an organic juice and coffee bar and retail shopping. To kick-off the new studio’s philanthropy program, Yoga4Yu will donate a portion of the proceeds from an upcoming grand opening event to local nonprofit, City House, which is expanding into Frisco.
The Yoga4Yu grand opening event will take place on Thursday, January 16 at 4:30 p.m. at the new studio, located in The Center At Preston Ridge in Frisco, just north of Stonebriar Mall on Gaylord Parkway. (The original grand opening event had to be postponed due to the December ice storm!) Their address is 3259 Preston Road, Suite 2 in Frisco, facing Best Buy. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and Frisco Mayor, Maher Maso. Yoga4Yu will donate 10 percent of all proceeds from studio membership packages, food and beverage, and retail sales during the event to City House-Frisco, the North Texas nonprofit organization providing support to homeless children.
“Yoga4Yu has been built around the philosophy of community and providing a space for those in our community to gather, relax and share their yoga practice,” said Michelle Matie, Founder and Managing Partner of Yoga4Yu. “We are honored to partner with City House who shares our ideals and provides much needed services to the homeless community right here in Collin County. It’s important to us to give back to our community and we’re excited to do so with City House.”
In addition to partnering with City House for the studio’s grand opening event, Yoga4Yu has developed an extensive philanthropy program working with several local non-profit organizations including the Frisco Giving Tree, the Frisco Women’s League and North Texas Cares. The Yoga4Yu staff also works with the Dallas chapter of the American Heart Association offering educational programs and volunteering at local events for the association.
“We are excited to work with Michelle and the Yoga4Yu team. They are passionate about giving back to local charities and we are thrilled they support City House-Frisco,” said Ann Harris, City House-Frisco Development Chair.
In addition to donating a portion of the proceeds from the grand opening event to City House, Yoga4Yu will be collecting on-site cash donations for the charity. The Yoga4Yu grand opening event is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend support the local nonprofit.
Yoga4Yu is a boutique yoga studio, juice and coffee bar and retail store in Frisco. Yoga4Yu offers a variety of yoga classes including Hatha, power, gentle and restorative yoga taught by a staff of experienced and certified instructors.
